  • What is the format of the exam and how long does it last?

    The format of IELTS is “Test format”. In IELTS, there are four parts: Listening  (30 minutes), Reading  (60 Minutes), Writing  (60 Minutes) ve Speaking  (11-14 Minutes). The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The Listening, Reading and Writing sections of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them. The Speaking section, however, can be completed on the same day, 3 days before or 3 days after the other tests.

  • How many test location in Turkey?

    The test center is in Istanbul. British Council Turkey conducts IELTS in 5 provinces: Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Adana, Antalya and Erzurum.

  • Who accepts IELTS?

    As a worldwide test, IELTS is accepted by more than 10,000 institutions and corporations, including government, academic and professional organizations. Moreover, IELTS is the only English language exam accepted by countries that require English proficiency for immigration.

  • How many times can I take IELTS?

    You can give it for as many as times you want. The IELTS score is valid for two years.

  • What is the difference between IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training?

    ELTS consists of 2 modules: Academic and General. Academic is taken by those who aspire to study in English-speaking countries. IELTS General Training test is for those who are going to English speaking countries for work experience, training programs or immigration.

  • What documents are needed for registering for IELTS?

    First of all, bring your ID or valid passport. Remember that only valid ID documents (photo shouldn't be too old) or Passport (not expired) are accepted.
